After the Peanut, founded in 2014 and inspired by George Washington Carver, champions STEAM education to empower communities through knowledge and innovative, real-world learning experiences. Based in Plainfield, Illinois, the organization delivers hands-on STEAM programs to youth ages 4–14 and provides professional development for educators, working to bridge educational gaps and build stronger networks across the region.
