A week-long day camp offering hands-on STEAM activities for ages 7–15, with rotating weekly themes such as robotics and medical detective work. Campers engage in field trips, college campus tours, and mentorship from STEAM professionals, meeting daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also runs: Summer STEAM Camp at Joliet Junior College.
Summer STEAM Camp immerses students in engaging, forward-thinking STEAM experiences held on the campus of Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. Campers choose from unique STEAM topics that change each week, with hands-on, real-world activities designed for ages 7–15. The daily schedule includes morning team activities, STEAM mentor visits, college campus tours, lunch, STEM field trips, and reflection sessions. Specific camp offerings include robotics (building and coding with LEGO SPIKE, Sphero, and Ozobot) and Medical Detective Camp, an immersive forensics experience where students solve mock crimes using scientific reasoning and forensic techniques while meeting professionals in law enforcement, healthcare, and medical fields. The organization offers scholarships for families with multiple children, children of veteran parents, those facing financial hardship, and students attending Title I schools.
