National Geographic Society
The National Geographic Society is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1888 that funds Explorers and innovators working on conservation, science, education and storytelling projects. Based in Washington, D.C., the Society supports over 450 active Explorer-led conservation projects across six focus areas: Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human Histories and Cultures, Planetary Health and Space.
