A multisensory summer academic program for grades 2-9 featuring morning courses in literacy, writing, and math, plus afternoon activities in art, drama, sports, and STEM, taught by Windward's specialized faculty trained in language-based learning instruction.
The Windward School Summer Program offers structured academic instruction aligned with the school's research-based, multisensory curriculum. Students in grades 2-9 attend morning sessions with course options including literacy skills, writing, math, book clubs, forensic science, and essay writing, tailored to each grade level. Grade 2 is a half-day program only. Full-day students participate in afternoon activities such as creative art, drama, sports, and adventure lab engineering challenges. The program is designed both to support students with language-based learning disabilities and to help prevent summer academic loss for other students. All instructors are full-time Windward faculty members trained through the school's teacher training program.
