A four-week day camp for ages 6-10 running in June and July, with rotating weekly themes including painting, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, yoga, and nature exploration. Children create art using diverse media and present their work to parents at the end of each week.
Whitemarsh Art Center's Summer Camp runs 9:15 am to 1 pm for up to four weeks, with children exploring different artistic themes each week. Sessions include "Apprentice to the Masters," where students learn from iconic artists and create a collaborative mural; "Summer Fun in the Sun," celebrating summer activities through painting and mixed media; "Animals: Real and Make Believe," creating 2-D and 3-D animal art; and "Art and Yoga," combining movement and creative expression. Materials include clay, paint, fibers, collage, printmaking, and drawing. Parents are invited to attend a small art show on the last Friday of each session to view their child's work. Scholarships are available.
