Westmont Music Academy runs five one-week summer camps for beginners, including Instrument Explorers (trying different instruments), Piano, Ukulele, Bucket Drumline, and Violin camps. Sessions run in June, July, and August with morning hours, and campers receive free materials or instrument discounts if they enroll in regular lessons afterward.
Westmont Music Academy's summer camps introduce young musicians to different instruments and musical fundamentals. The Instrument Explorers camp (ages 5-8) dedicates each day to a different instrument including piano, guitar, and drums, helping students choose their favorite. The Piano Camp (ages 6-10) teaches basics including posture, note reading, rhythm, and simple melodies through games and creative activities. The Ukulele Camp (ages 6-12) covers proper posture, tuning, chords, and strumming with instruments provided. The Bucket Drumline Camp (ages 6-12) teaches rhythm and teamwork using buckets as instruments. The Violin Camp (ages 6-12) introduces fundamentals including posture, bow technique, note reading, and simple melodies with violins provided. All camps run 9am-12pm (or 10am-1pm for Drumline and Violin) and cost $295 per week.
