Westchester Ballet Company Summer Intensive

Westchester Ballet Company's 2026 Summer Intensive offers immersive classical ballet training across three age-based levels (8–9, 10–12, and 13+), each with appropriate minimum training requirements. Dancers train daily in structured technique classes covering alignment, strength, musicality, and precision, supplemented by pointe, pre-pointe, character dance, Martha Graham technique, and conditioning. Beyond technique, the program integrates educational sessions including ballet history, music for dancers, audition preparation, stage makeup, injury prevention, and Q&A sessions with professionals. The faculty includes respected dancers and guest artists committed to mentorship. Two weeks (August 17–22 and August 24–29) are offered, with students able to enroll in one or both weeks. The program emphasizes both rigorous training and emotional safety within a supportive community.
