A week-long art camp in Mt Kisco where children ages 5-16 create drawings, paintings, and mixed-media projects under instruction from experienced artists, with separate sessions for younger kids and teens.
Westchester Art Studio runs a summer camp August 24-28 at Fountain of Eternal Life Church in Mt Kisco. The camp offers two age-divided sessions: Kids Create (ages 5-9, 10am-1pm) introduces a wide variety of art styles and media including charcoal, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, printmaking, collage and clay, with projects inspired by master artists. Drawing and Painting for Teens (ages 10-16, 10am-1pm) teaches step-by-step techniques from beginner through advanced levels, with instruction tailored to individual skill levels and portfolio development. All materials are provided. The camp is run by experienced art teachers, including instructor Alan Reingold who has taught at Parsons School of Design, RISD and MICA, and Amy Shaw, a graphic artist and painter.
