A summer day camp in Bellevue State Park near Wilmington where children ages 6–13 learn horseback riding and horsemanship through mounted lessons, bareback riding, trail rides, grooming instruction, and horse-themed crafts.
Wellspring Farm's summer camp runs for 10 weeks and serves beginner riders with no experience necessary. Campers enjoy two mounted sessions daily featuring structured lessons, bareback riding, mounted games, and trail rides. Beyond riding, children receive hands-on instruction in grooming, saddling, bathing, braiding, and horse care. The program includes horse-themed crafts and culminates each Friday with Family Day, when families can watch a riding session and meet the horses and ponies. The camp uses safe, gentle horses also employed in the year-round lesson program.
