A two-week overnight sports camp in Asheville, North Carolina, where Jewish youth ages 9-18 choose a sports major including baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, lacrosse, softball, flag football, golf, and cheer & dance, with Jewish life integrated throughout.
URJ 6 Points Sports Academy runs three two-week sessions in June and July at Asheville School. Campers in grades 4-11 select a sports major and are grouped by grade and gender. The camp offers nine to eleven different sports majors depending on the session, including baseball, basketball, cheer and dance, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball, flag football, gymnastics, lacrosse, softball, and golf. Jewish life and community are central to the experience. The camp provides transportation options from multiple cities including Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Atlanta, as well as airport pickup in Asheville and Charlotte. Financial assistance and grants are available to ensure access for all families.
