A small-cohort theater camp in Manhattan where young performers learn playwriting, acting, improvisation, spoken word, and technical theater while creating and performing an original show.
Urban Stages Theater Camp serves up to 15 students per session in a supportive environment where campers explore a broad spectrum of theater styles and skills. Participants gain hands-on experience in playwriting, spoken word, acting, improvisation, technical theater, and other performance classes while working collaboratively. The camp culminates in campers creating and performing their own original show. Many campers return year after year, reporting increased confidence, new friendships, and a strong sense of achievement.
