A nature camp in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation for children ages 4–14 offering six one-week summer sessions with activities including archaeology, crayfish catching, nature games, and art.
Trailside Nature Camp runs from July through August in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Westchester County's largest park with 4,315 acres. The camp is organized by age group: Adventurers (Pre-K ages 4–5) meet 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for six one-week sessions; Park Rangers (grades 1–2), Naturalists (grades 3–5), and Conservationists (grades 6–9) participate in similarly structured weekly or two-week sessions. Activities include on-location visits to archaeological sites, crayfish catching, nature games, and art. The Conservationists group has the option to participate in campouts.
