The Road Less Traveled has offered transformative summer travel programs for teens since 1991. Programs run 1 to 3 weeks and are led by experienced, WFR-certified leaders with groups of 12-14 teens. Each trip emphasizes service to local communities, outdoor adventure activities like hiking, kayaking, and climbing, and cultural immersion with daily reflection. Destinations span the United States, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, with trips designed for different age groups and comfort levels from grades 6 to 12. Activities include wilderness trekking, environmental conservation, language immersion, wildlife volunteering, and water sports.
