The Quad Manhattan Summer Camp

The Quad Manhattan's summer program runs from July through August for six weeks, serving twice-exceptional (2e) children in age-grouped Core classes of no more than ten students. Each Core group is led by a special educator or mental health professional, with a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio maintained through supervising staff including a child psychologist. Daily programming integrates psychosocial and executive functioning skill development with fun activities including Monday-Thursday Core classes, Friday field trips, and Funky Friday celebrations. The curriculum draws on evidence-based frameworks including Social Thinking, Teaching Tolerance Social Justice Standards, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Families receive weekly newsletters, mid-summer conferences with outside providers, and end-of-summer reports documenting progress and strategies for home and school.
