A summer program for preschool children ages 2–5 at The Learning Center for Young Children in Kensington, Maryland, running two weeks in June and one week in July with daily sessions focused on science themes, outdoor play, arts, and crafts.
LCYC's Summer Program serves preschool children who have completed 2, 3, or 4-year-old classes, with sessions running 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. daily. The 2026 program offers three weeks: June 15–18, June 22–26, and July 20–24. Each week features a different science-related theme and includes circle time, arts and crafts, cooking, table activities, a water table, and library time. Weather permitting, about half of each session is conducted outdoors for a day-camp-like experience. Classes may be organized by age group if enrollment supports multiple sections.
