A themed summer day camp in Capitol Hill for children ages 3½–6, offering weekly sessions from June through August focused on space exploration, paleontology, art, STEAM, theater, games, culinary arts, and other topics. Each week includes field trips to local museums and cultural venues.
The Hill Preschool runs eight weekly summer camp sessions in 2026. Session themes include "3, 2, 1 Blast Off!" (space and lunar exploration with a trip to the Air and Space Museum), "Dig Those Dinos!" (paleontology and fossils at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum), "The Artful Adventure" (visual arts at local museums), "STEAM" (science, technology, engineering, art and math with visits to the Building Museum and Art Museum), "All the World's a Stage" (theater, music and dance culminating in a play at Imagination Stage), "Game Week" (board games and puzzles), "Community Chefs" (cooking and culinary exploration), and additional sessions. The camp runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, with optional extended care until 5:00 PM. Children must be fully potty trained. Drop-in options are available for specific dates.
