A weekly day camp blending music and visual art for children ages 5-10, with mornings focused on ensemble playing, songwriting and sound design, and afternoons devoted to art projects like printmaking, mosaics and watercolor painting.
The Green Tambourine's summer camp runs five weeks in June, July and August, meeting Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Each day balances musical activities including group ensemble rehearsal, songwriting and Foley sound work with visual art projects such as marbleized printmaking, string art, origami and mosaic making. Campers participate in a rock band playing contemporary music by artists like Taylor Swift, The Beatles and Imagine Dragons, with options to sing, play percussion or try instruments they are learning. The schedule includes group games, outdoor park time, and both hands-on and process-based creative work.
