A Sunday language school where children ages 7 and up learn to speak, read and write Thai, with instruction divided into beginning and intermediate levels, plus afternoon cultural activities including Thai songs and traditional games.
The Thai Buddhist School offers weekly classes on Sundays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM during the school year (September through June). Beginning students learn Thai consonants, vowels, tonal marks and basic conversation, while intermediate students expand their vocabulary and practice reading and writing Thai sentences. All students join together in the afternoon for cultural activities such as Thai songs, traditional games and children's programs to explore Thai heritage. The school also runs an online Wednesday evening class for adults seeking basic Thai conversation. Classes are temporarily closed on days when the temple hosts special Buddhist observances.
