Surprise Lake Camp

Surprise Lake Camp, founded in 1902, is one of the longest-running Jewish sleepaway camps in the United States and the only one in its original location. The camp serves children in grades K through 10 across multiple summer weeks, offering waterfront experiences, adventure programming, and specialty activities grounded in Jewish community and tradition. The camp operates on a beautiful campus in Cold Spring, New York, and maintains a focus on five core values: community, compassion, courage, gratitude, and grit. The organization is an independent nonprofit that has continuously evolved while preserving the traditions that define the camp experience.
