A two-week residential music festival in Pleasantville where participants from around the world study with accomplished faculty and guest artists, perform in concerts, and compete in the Mary Smart concerto competition.
Summit Music Festival is the largest comprehensive music event in the New York Metropolitan area. Students spend two weeks in August at University of Mount Saint Vincent, receiving instruction in violin, viola, cello, piano and other instruments. The program includes a chamber music program, orchestra program, and the Mary Smart concerto competition. Participants perform in a series of public concerts throughout the festival and have opportunities to work with faculty mentors.
