A two-week intensive musical theatre program for incoming 8th–12th graders culminating in a fully staged production on A.C.T. of CT's professional mainstage, with participants working directly with the artistic director to develop and perform an original musical. Also runs: Summer Stars Showcase.
The Summer Teen Conservatory is an audition-based, artist-driven experience for select middle and high school performers. Participants work intensively with A.C.T. of CT's Artistic Director Daniel C. Levine to develop, rehearse, and perform an original musical theatre piece created specifically for the cast. Daily weekday rehearsals run from 11am to 5:30pm, with tech rehearsals from 10am to 6pm. The final performance incorporates full lighting, sound, and technical elements, providing a true professional production experience. Each cast member is prominently featured while contributing to the development of a brand-new work. The program includes vocal technique, performance skills, and collaboration with Broadway-caliber faculty.
