Summer Steps at The Brick Church School

Summer Steps at The Brick Church School is a four-week summer program designed to prepare children entering or applying to kindergarten for optimal participation and success. Running from June 29 through July 31, 2026, the program balances teacher-initiated activities focused on school readiness skills with child-initiated exploration of materials and learning centers. Children engage in whole group and small group experiences with an emphasis on building community. The curriculum includes outdoor play with climbing equipment and sprinklers, music and movement classes, art studio time, and field trips. Parent discussion groups facilitated by child development professionals are offered throughout the program. The program serves children whose family taxable income is under $100,000 or who are paying less than 10% of ongoing school tuition. Families pay a nominal weekly fee between $10 and $50 depending on income level.
