A summer piano ensemble camp for beginner to advanced students in the northwest suburbs, where young pianists meet weekly to perform together in small groups, develop ensemble skills, and prepare for a final performance.
The Summer Piano Ensemble is an intensive summer program for piano students with at least two years of experience. Participants meet for nine one-hour sessions from June through August, working in ensembles of 3-6 performers at their individual levels. The program develops ensemble and accompanying skills, reduces performance anxiety, and culminates in a final performance at the academy. Students must commit to 9 of 10 rehearsals, with limited excused absences. The program accepts both current and prospective students with teacher recommendation, and applications are due by April 22nd each year.
