A summer reading clinic in Montclair for children with dyslexia or reading difficulties, using the Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach with separate morning sessions for grades K-2 and afternoon sessions for grades 3-5.
Essex Literacy Center runs Summer Orton-Gillingham Clinics during select weeks at its Lorraine Avenue location in Montclair. The clinics are led by certified Orton-Gillingham teachers and organized into small-group sessions focused on building literacy skills using multisensory, systematic instruction. Morning sessions target skills from grades K-2, while afternoon sessions address grades 3-5 content. Instruction incorporates auditory, visual, and tactile-kinesthetic approaches and follows the scope and sequence established by the Children's Dyslexia Center of NJ.
