A summer day camp for grades PreK-6th where children explore music through private and group lessons, electives in various instruments, and ensemble work. Campers are divided by age group and can choose from one or two-week sessions, with a showcase concert at the end of each week. Also runs: Musical Theater Tech Camp.
The Music Room's Summer Music Day Camp serves children ages 4-12 divided into age groups (4-7 and 8-12) for developmentally appropriate instruction. The camp offers core classes in instrument technique, music theory, and musicianship, along with elective classes in various instruments including violin, guitar, ukulele, drums, and flute. Students also participate in ensemble work by selecting music genres to explore in groups. The full-day program runs from 9am to 2:30pm with optional extended care, half-day morning sessions, and early drop-off available. A showcase concert on Saturday celebrates each student's progress. The camp incorporates art, history, outdoor activities, and dance alongside musical instruction.
