See if kids you know are going to this camp.
A four-week residential design program at the Kempner Institute in Mayer, Arizona where participants ages 18 and up join architecture students and faculty for an immersive studio experience, field trips to iconic Arizona architecture and creative sites, and hands-on learning in the high-desert landscape.
The School of Architecture's Summer Immersion continues its tradition of migration to cooler temperatures during summer months. In 2026, the program is hosted at the Kempner Institute on 300 acres of high-desert landscape adjacent to the Prescott National Forest. Participants of all backgrounds—with or without architecture experience—live on campus and engage in an introductory design studio focused on designing an education pavilion for the Alexander Pancho Memorial Farm on the Tohono O'odham Nation. The program includes full-day and overnight field trips to sites such as Arcosanti, Taliesin West, Biosphere 2, and Sedona Arts Center. Students experience TSOA's distinctive educational model of learning by doing while exploring sustainable design and regional architecture.
