A six-year-old crafting day camp in Philadelphia for children ages 4–9, running 12 weeks each summer with immersive weekly themes like sculpture, fairytale forests, and cardboard construction, incorporating park time and splash pad visits.
Summer Crafting Camp at Beehive is a theme-based day camp where children ages 4–9 spend their mornings and early afternoons working on large collaborative art projects tied to weekly themes, moving between Beehive's craft studios and the Splash Pad at nearby East Passyunk Recreation Center. Days run from 8:30 AM to 3 PM with optional aftercare until 5:30 PM. Small groups of 10–12 children rotate through activities including themed crafts, park time, read-alouds, and outdoor exploration. Past themes have included Sculpting Bugs & Butterflies, Fairytale Forest, Cardboard Construction, and Water and Weather. The camp is now in its sixth year and runs from mid-June through late August.
