Summer@Carroll is a summer school program for students in grades 1–9 with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. The program balances academics and outdoor activities, offering individualized instruction in reading, writing, spelling, and math while building community among peers who learn differently.
Summer@Carroll runs from late June through early August, offering four grade-level programs: Beginning Readers (grades 1–2), Elementary School (grades 3–4), Middle School (grades 5–7), and High School Readiness (grades 8–9). Each program provides individualized instruction tailored to students' academic, social, emotional, and cognitive needs. The curriculum strengthens skills in reading, spelling, writing, and math while minimizing summer regression. Students benefit from expert educators trained in evidence-based approaches for language-based learning differences. The program fosters a diverse, inclusive community where students connect with peers who learn differently. Extended day options are available for an additional fee.
