A weekly day camp running June through August for elementary students (grades 1-5) where children explore ecology, biology, and environmental science through outdoor adventures, pond investigations, woodland ecosystem exploration, and close encounters with animal ambassadors including tortoises and iguanas. Also runs: Seasonal Camps at Nature Center at Greenburgh.
Campers become young naturalists diving into the fascinating world of ecology, biology, and environmental science. Through daily outdoor adventures, close-up animal encounters, and immersive nature-based activities, campers investigate real-life habitats through guided exploration of forest trails and ponds. They participate in science-based activities supporting continuous learning, learn about animal care and conservation, and engage in outdoor games reinforcing teamwork and problem-solving. The program encourages creative thinking, critical observation, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Summer camp runs in nine weekly sessions from June 29 through August 28, 2026, with regular hours from 9:00am to 2:00pm and optional extended day from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
