Summer at Carrig Montessori School

Summer at Carrig Montessori offers an immersive Montessori environment during the summer months, welcoming both returning students and new participants. The program is structured around rotating themes that guide all activities—for 2024, themes include butterflies (with study of metamorphosis and symmetry) and the water cycle and rainbows (exploring water stages, light, and color). Children engage in a mix of indoor and outdoor activities including arts and crafts, music, creative movement, yoga, outdoor play in their private courtyard and Cooper Park, and gardening. While the Montessori work cycle is shortened to allow more social and physical development, the daily routine remains consistent, providing comfort while offering new learning experiences. Three schedule options are available: half day (8:30am–1pm), standard day (8:30am–3pm), and extended day (8:30am–6pm).
