Substance Skate Camp Brooklyn

Substance Skate Camp runs daily from 9am to 3pm (with optional extended care until 4pm) during summer weeks from mid-June through late August. The camp breaks campers into ability-based groups, starting each day with guided stretches and goal-setting before focused instruction on skateboarding skills ranging from pushing and turning to advanced tricks. Campers receive lunch and snacks provided by the camp, accommodating vegan and gluten-free diets. A free skate and games session follows lunch, then each camper gets one-on-one time with an instructor or peer mentor. The program emphasizes leadership development, teamwork, and making new friends alongside skateboarding skills. All equipment including protective pads, helmets, and boards are provided at no extra cost. The instructors have over 16 years of teaching experience, and the camp offers flexible scheduling with no fees to reschedule missed days.
