Six-week summer percussion clinics for middle school, high school, and college drummers meeting on Wednesday evenings, designed to help students prepare for fall auditions and improve their drumming skills under experienced instructors.
The Crystal Lake Strikers offer summer clinics on Wednesday evenings from May 20 to June 24 at Striker Hall. Middle school students (6th-8th grade) meet from 6:00-7:15 pm, while high school and college-age drummers meet from 7:30-9:00 pm. The program is six weeks long and costs $60 for the session. Experienced instructors with backgrounds in drum & bugle corps, competitive winter drumline, and college marching band work with each performer to help them achieve their individual goals, whether that is making their college or high school line, moving to a new section in their band, or general improvement. The organization states cost will not be a barrier to participation.
