A self-directed day camp where children ages 4–12 choose their own activities daily from options including coding, sewing, animation, robotics, baking, and arts and crafts. The camp runs May 26 to July 31 at The Winston School with flexible daily attendance and included meals.
Steve & Kate's Camp Dallas emphasizes child autonomy and freedom within a structured environment. Campers select which activities to participate in, whom to do them with, and for how long, fostering independence and decision-making skills. The camp offers a diverse range of activities including stop-motion animation, sewing, coding with iPad apps, robotics, 3D printing, baking, and tinker lab crafts. Hours run from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with meals and snacks included. Parents can purchase any number of days and drop off or pick up at flexible times. Unused days receive automatic refunds at summer's end. The camp also offers a Mentorship Program for ages 14–15 that trains young leaders to assist staff.
