A six-week summer program for Primary and Lower Division students that combines academic skill maintenance with enriching activities, using specialized instruction in reading and math alongside sports, arts, music, cooking, and field trips.
Stephen Gaynor School's Summer Camp runs from June 15 through July 24, 2026, serving students in the Primary and Lower Divisions. The Primary Division program, led by special educators, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, focuses on self-help, motor, social, and cognitive skill development using Orton-Gillingham-based reading instruction and small-group math learning, with activities including group games, cooking, arts and crafts, and local field trips. Lower Division students participate in morning small-group reading instruction with Orton-Gillingham-trained faculty, while afternoons feature sports, arts and crafts, science exploration, music, drama, cooking, water play, and trips to local destinations.
