A six-week summer day program in July and August for preschool-age children at Spruce Street Nursery School in Boston, featuring themed exploration, outdoor play, and city-based learning activities.
Spruce Street's summer program serves both current students and newly enrolled children for six weeks during July and August. Teachers introduce engaging themes that guide children's exploration over two-week periods, with learning unfolding through hands-on activities, creative projects, stories, and songs. Children spend abundant time outdoors on the Spruce playground and explore nearby Boston parks including Clarendon Street Playground and the Tadpole Playground, with field trips to the Boston Common. The program includes special visitors and performers, water play, artwork creation, and daily activities designed to build relationships and strengthen children's sense of community.
