A collegiate-level residential rowing camp at the University of Pennsylvania for ages 13–18 with experience in rowing. Participants train multiple sessions daily with Ivy League coaches, live on campus, and engage in skill development, video feedback, and goal-setting focused on teamwork, sweeping, large boats, and coxing.
Sparks Penn offers an intensive residential rowing experience at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the most storied rowing programs in North America. The camp brings together motivated young rowers from across the country for immersive training under Ivy League and Olympic coaches. Campers participate in multiple daily training sessions with small group coaching (staff-to-camper ratios of 1:3 to 1:5), video feedback, seminars, goal-setting, and one-on-one review. The program emphasizes skill development, personal growth, team cohesion, and reflection through pre-camp reading and daily written reflection. Coxswains receive dedicated coaching and curriculum. Housing, meals, and ground transportation are included. The camp maintains a small capacity to facilitate an immersive experience and uses an admissions-based process assessing motivation, emotional maturity, and athletic experience.
