The South Shore YMCA runs traditional summer day camps for children ages 3-12, with specialized options in swimming, arts, and STEM. Sessions run two weeks at a time from late June through mid-August, combining water activities, arts and crafts, science, and team building.
South Shore YMCA offers multiple summer camp tracks for different ages and interests. Traditional Summer Camp (ages 6-12) features a mix of physical fitness, arts and crafts, science activities, and theme days with instructional swim. Early Childhood Camp (ages 3-5) focuses on sensory play, music, movement, and socialization with field trips in the community. Swim Camp (ages 7-13) emphasizes aquatic skills and water safety with instruction from certified instructors, combined with arts and science activities. All camps run Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with optional extended hours from 7:30-9am. The camp operates in two-week sessions from June 29 through August 21, 2026, with four sessions available. Activities center on the YMCA's core values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility.
