South Avenue Arts runs weekly half-day art camp sessions for two age groups. The younger camp (ages 6-9) meets 9:00-12:00 Monday through Thursday, with rotating weekly themes like Movies We Love, Furry Friends, Comics and Cartoons, Nature, and Magic and Fantasy. Using various media, campers work on projects designed to improve art skills and encourage imagination. The older camp (ages 10-14) also meets 9:00-12:00 Monday through Thursday and offers choices each week between drawing and painting or mixed media, where students explore realistic techniques and combine collage, polymer clay, plaster, printing and painting.
