A four-week introductory Brazilian Jiu Jitsu camp for beginners aged 16 and up, taught by Professor Marco Hurtado. Students learn fundamental positions, defenses, sweeps, and submissions while building strength and confidence in a supportive community.
Sheridan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu's 4-Week Beginner Boot Camp is designed for students with no prior Jiu Jitsu experience. The camp meets Mondays and Thursdays from 8-9pm for four weeks and covers fundamental Jiu Jitsu positions, concepts, defenses, sweeps, and submissions. Led by Professor Marco Hurtado, a black belt since 2023, the camp combines technical instruction with fitness training. Students master Jiu Jitsu fundamentals, build strength and endurance, develop understanding of strategy and mindset, and form friendships with fellow beginners. Each registration includes a gi and belt. The academy provides a welcoming, values-focused environment emphasizing consistency, community, and personal growth both on and off the mat.
