Six age-based summer day camps running Monday to Friday from late June through August, featuring nature-based projects, creative arts, outdoor adventures, and weekly themes for children from toddlers through Grade 8, plus a teen volunteer program.
SHED Summer Programs offer age-appropriate camps for six groups: Caterpillars (20 months to 2.9 years), Monarch Adventures (3 to 5 years), Jr. Adventures (entering kindergarten), Outdoor Adventures (kindergarten to Grade 2), Summer Adventures (Grades 1 to 5), and Team Adventures (Grades 5 to 8). All programs run Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM, with extended days available for Grades 1 to 5. The curriculum is rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach and emphasizes curiosity-driven learning through nature-based projects, creative arts, outdoor time, field experiences, and movement. CREW is a volunteer opportunity for teens entering 9th grade. Educators facilitate rather than direct, and each program creates thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor environments where children feel safe, seen, and supported.
