Scattered Kind offers summer tufting workshops for kids and teens where students design and create custom rugs using tufting guns in a small-group studio environment in NYC. Sessions include Youth Tufting (ages 9–12) and Teen Rug Design Intensive (ages 13–17) held in August.
Scattered Kind is NYC's original tufting studio offering hands-on programs for young creators. Students learn to design and create their own custom rug in a small-group studio setting. After finishing their tufting, the studio team applies backing, trims the rug to perfection, and cleans it so the piece is ready for display. Expert instructors provide thorough instruction and supervision to help students create a piece they love.
