Overnight sailing and adventure camps for teens ages 11-18 running 14- and 21-day sessions in the British Virgin Islands. Programs focus on sailing, scuba diving, marine biology, watersports, and environmental community service, with instruction aboard live-aboard yachts.
Sail Caribbean has offered summer adventure camps since 1979, operating multi-week overnight programs in the British Virgin Islands. Students live aboard 50-foot yachts in small crews grouped by age and grade, learning sailing and watersports through hands-on instruction from experienced captains and mates. Programs include Alpha and Bravo (sailing and watersports), Charlie (scuba diving with PADI certification), Delta (advanced sailing), Foxtrot (environmental community service and education), Sierra (marine biology), Lima (for high school seniors), and Tango (ages 11-12). All programs combine a core focus activity with exposure to multiple watersports, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and island exploration. Community service opportunities range from 3-30 hours depending on the program, including reef monitoring, sea turtle tagging, beach and trail maintenance, and cultural exchange with local youth. The camp operates its own PADI 5-Star dive facility and emphasizes leadership development, personal growth, and environmental stewardship.
