A summer art camp for children and teens ages 8–18 in Walpole offering daily classes in drawing, painting, and illustration with instruction in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and other media, plus a teen week that includes outdoor landscape painting.
Rosemarie Morelli Art Studio School runs summer art classes for children and teens ages 8–18 from late June through July. Classes meet daily Monday–Friday from 1–4 pm in an air-conditioned studio equipped with easels, drafting tables, and quality art supplies. Students work on projects of their choosing—landscapes, still life, animals, fantasy characters, or illustrations—in their preferred medium. Each day includes a 30-minute group sketch study covering portraiture, anatomy, textures, and landscape elements, followed by individual work with guidance from the instructor. The studio emphasizes fundamentals including shape correction, value rendering, color mixing, and composition design. Teen Week (July 13–17) includes three studio days plus two days of outdoor plein air landscape painting at local Walpole sites such as Adams Farm and Bird Park, where students paint scenes in natural light. All supplies are included.
