Rhythm World is Chicago's International Festival of American Tap, a week-long summer event featuring master classes and choreographic residencies taught by professional tap dancers and rhythm artists from across the country. Participants can design their own experience by selecting from multiple daily courses, platform residencies, and weekend masterclasses.
Rhythm World celebrates American tap and rhythm-culture through a week of intensive classes and performances. The festival offers courses in tap, African, Irish step, and other rhythm traditions taught by visiting master artists, a new five-day Platform program for pre- and emerging professionals with choreographic residencies, and weekend masterclasses. Classes take place at Chicago's historic Fine Arts Building, with performances at the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago.
