A summer reading and writing program in New Jersey where students work in small groups of up to three with certified teachers to strengthen academic skills using research-based approaches like Orton-Gillingham and Visualizing and Verbalizing.
The Summer Scholars Program helps students stay academically sharp over summer break through personalized instruction in reading comprehension, writing, and foundational skills. Students work in small groups (no more than three) with experienced, certified teachers trained in structured literacy approaches. The program offers themed sessions focusing on essay writing, sentence building, and reading comprehension using evidence-based methods. Sessions run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for five days per week, with multiple one-week offerings in July and early August.
