Powers Music School Summer Day Programs

Powers Music School's summer day programs provide full-day immersive experiences for young musicians at various levels. Kids Crescendo offers creative music, arts, and movement activities rooted in Dalcroze Eurhythmics for younger children. Opera Kids (grades 3-6) combines singing, music, and theatre to write and perform a mini opera with guidance from Boston Lyric Opera educators. Sound Safari lets beginners and students ages 8-12 try multiple instruments in one week to find their best fit. String Traditions provides week-long instruction for fiddlers, violinists, cellists, and viola players. Suzuki on the Hill serves violin and viola students (ages 6-15) currently studying with a Suzuki teacher. Music on the Hill serves intermediate to advanced students with chamber music ensembles, orchestra, electives, private lessons, and performances. All programs emphasize hands-on learning, ensemble playing, and friendship building among participants.
