An inclusive summer camp for children ages 5-12 that combines social-emotional learning, academic enrichment, art, music and movement with weekly community field trips across Chicago's East Side. The program maintains peer friendships and academic progress through the summer months with coordination between camp leaders and in-house therapists.
PODS Summer Camp is a seasonal program designed to keep children's social-emotional and academic skills developing through the summer. The camp operates on three pillars: structured peer groups to build lasting friendships within an inclusive environment, weekly academic enrichment blended with hands-on projects to prevent learning loss, and regular field trips to community locations like libraries, museums and parks. Therapy support is available as part of each child's individualized plan, coordinated weekly by dedicated specialists across social-emotional learning, academics and community engagement.
