Summer day camps at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia for children ages 3-14, with weekly themes rooted in nature, cultures, and childhood. Campers engage in arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, storytelling, and games, with Summergarten for ages 3-5 and separate programs for grades 1-3 and 4-8.
Philly Waldorf Summer Camps run from mid-June through mid-August in one-week sessions on the school's wooded campus in an urban setting. Summergarten (ages 3-5) focuses on the four elements each week (earth, air, fire, water) with outdoor play, water games, crafts, and storytelling, including rest time and snacks. Camp Wonder for grades 1-3 guides campers through themes like Fairy Tales & Fantasy, Under the Sea, Into the Woods, and Summer Circus, with arts and crafts, stories, games, songs, and outdoor exploration. Campers in grades 4-8 experience a more adventurous program with hands-on projects, creative exploration, off-campus excursions, and weekly pool trips. All camps operate Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Income-based camp scholarships are available.
