The Philadelphia Dance Academy offers summer dance camps for ages 2.5 and up at two locations in Philadelphia and Ardmore, featuring ballet, contemporary, theater dance, and other styles. Programs range from half-day camps for young children to full-day intensives for serious dancers, with options for beginner through advanced levels.
Philadelphia Dance Academy runs a comprehensive summer program serving dancers of all ages and levels. Creative Movement classes introduce young children ages 2.5–4 to dance structure and expression. Pre-Ballet (ages 4–6) bridges into formal training, while Ballet 1/1X through advanced levels build technique progressively. Specialty camps include a Half-Day Nutcracker Camp for ages 4–6 exploring ballet and theater dance through Nutcracker characters, and Full Day Dance Intensives (ages 6–12) combining ballet, contemporary, theater dance, pilates, and choreography. For serious intermediate and advanced dancers, the academy offers high-level intensives with guest artists, covering ballet technique, contemporary, modern, hip hop, pilates, yoga, and more. Adult/Teen classes are also available in summer.
