A day camp in Tribeca teaching children sailing fundamentals in NYC waters over multiple summer sessions, with participants able to join for one to twelve weeks. The curriculum covers rigging, navigation, seamanship and leadership skills in a structured two-week program designed for novice and experienced youth sailors.
NYC Sailing Camp operates from Pier 25 Marina in Tribeca, offering six sessions throughout the summer with flexible weekly enrollment. The two-week curriculum covers sailing fundamentals including boat rigging, navigation, rules of the road, and advanced sailing techniques. Campers progress from basic seamanship in week one to advanced skills and crew-overboard procedures in week two. The final day of each two-week session gives campers the opportunity to plan and execute an extended voyage with full responsibility for navigation and sailing. Advanced and returning sailors can take on leadership roles. Indoor alternatives at venues like the Museum of Natural History and Intrepid are available during poor weather. Upper West Side pickup is provided.
